TaxEd’s Q&A portal, unique to the TaxEd membership, allows members to ask tax questions directly to our in-house experts. With the recent increase in ATO scrutiny it can be wise to get a second opinion on difficult tax issues. However, the time and cost of doing so may mean this is not always a practical option for Governments and Not-for-Profit organisations.
TaxEd’s Q&A portal enables members to ask tax questions under one of the five modules relevant to Government and Not-for-Profit entities; FBT, GST, Salary Packaging, Payroll and Eligibility.
Once the question has been submitted, it is automatically sent to one of our tax experts with the answer sent back to the member via email. The TaxEd Q&A portal also stores the question and answer in the organisation’s Q&A database allowing it to be viewed at a later date.
Once a TaxEd member logs into their account (via the person icon in the top right-hand corner of the TaxEd homepage), they will be able to find the Q&A service under the MEMBERSHIP+ drop down menu.
Here, members will have the option to select “Ask a Question“. This is where members submit questions using the online submission form. Simply select the most relevant module (FBT, GST, Salary Packaging, Payroll or Eligibility), provide a question subject and then input the question via the free text box (see below screenshot). Once submitted, an answer can generally be expected within 2-3 business days, ensuring a timely answer to your question.
Under “My Q&As” you will find past questions asked by your organisation. Your organisations questions are stored confidentially on our Q&A portal and only available for viewing by members of your organisation.
